1. Introduction:

Welcome to Kim’s Reptile Retreat, Reptile Boarding. By using our services, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to ensure the safety and well-being of your
pets as well as the smooth operation of our services.

2. Booking and Payment:

Period: Minimum booking period is 3 calendar days inclusive.
Booking: All bookings must be made in advance by contacting us directly.

Payment:
a) For bookings between 3 and 7 days, full payment is required at the time of booking

b) For bookings longer than 7 days, we will require a 50% deposit with the remainder to be paid no later than 15 days before the boarding is due to commence.

If we are able to make a preliminary booking your pets stay, you will be invoiced for the amount in accordance with either para a) or b) above.

Without payment, your booking is not confirmed, and we cannot guarantee availability. If we have not received payment 48 hours after the date of your invoice, we reserve the right to cancel your
proposed booking.

Rates: Our rates are subject to change. Please check our website for other information, reviews and FAQ’s.

3. Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation by Client:

a) Cancellations made more than 14 days before the boarding date will receive a full refund.

b) Cancellations made between 7-14 days before the boarding date will receive a 50% refund.

c) Cancellations made less than 7 days before the boarding date will not be refunded.

Cancellation by Kim’s Reptile Retreat, Reptile Boarding:

a) In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your booking, a full refund will be issued, or alternative arrangements will be made.

4. Liability Waiver:

a) Health and Safety: While we take every precaution to ensure the safety and well-being of your pets, Kim’s Reptile Retreat, Reptile Boarding is not liable for any illness, injury, or death that may
occur during their stay.

b) Veterinary Care: In the event of a medical emergency, we will make every effort to contact you immediately. If you cannot be reached, we will seek veterinary care at your expense.

c) Belongings: It is advisable to bring your own pet’s toys, blankets etc with them, this helps to reassure your pet. Should you wish to bring your pets own cage, get in touch to speak with us to see if we can accommodate this.

We do provide some cages for our borders inside our small pet room. Enquire for more details!

5.Health Care Agreement:

a) Health Requirements: All pets must be in good health and free from contagious diseases.

b) Daily Care: Your Pets will receive daily feeding, fresh water, and exercise appropriate to their
species and needs. Any special dietary requirements must be provided by the pet owner.

6. Illness:

a) We will refuse to board any animal showing signs of a contagious illness.

b) Vets: In the event of a pet needing vet treatment, the owner will be notified, and treatment will be sought. Any vet bills must be paid by the owner to the vet.

c) Common illnesses/afflictions: Any common affliction, such as diarrhoea or stress cannot be 100% guaranteed against. However, any and all attempts will be made to avoid these.

d) Feeding: Please supply your pet’s own diet. This is to prevent digestion problems such as gut issues. Fresh greens will be provided. Only food your pet is used to will be given.

e) Aggression: Please be aware that this business is run from a family home including males and females. If your animal is frequently aggressive to people, they will be banned from further
boarding.

7. “Important Notice: Abandonment Policy for Pet Boarding”

At Kim’s Reptile Retreat, Reptile Boarding, the well-being of your pets is our top priority.

In the event of a pet(s) not being collected a week after the stated pick-up date, we reserve the right to re-home the pet in question. In case we are unable to reach you, we will contact your provided
emergency contact.

If a pet remains unclaimed for a further 72 hours, we will follow legal procedures to transfer the pet to a local animal control or rescue organisation.

8. Drop-off and collections

Late pick-ups may incur additional fees. To ensure all pets receive the care they deserve, we have established a clear policy for unclaimed pets.

Please make sure you pick up your pets on the agreed date or notify us if alternative arrangements are needed.

Please notify us if you will be picking up your pet later than planned.

Drop-off and pick-up times must be scheduled in advance. If you are unable to drop your pet(s) off to us or collect them, please ask us about our pick-up & drop-off service.

9. Emergency Care:
In the event of a medical emergency, Kim’s Reptile Retreat, Reptile Boarding will make every effort to contact the owner and the emergency contact.

If necessary, pets will be taken to the nearest veterinary clinic. The owner is responsible for all veterinary costs incurred.

The pet servicer will endeavour to transport your Pet to the Veterinary Practise recorded on the Agreement Form & Appendixes. In an emergency the pet servicer will transport your Pet(s) to the
nearest Veterinary Practise. Mileage completed carrying out this will be recharged to the client at forty-five pence (45p) per mile or part of. In addition, a fee of £20 per hour or part of shall be charged
for the transportation and time spent at the vets.

10. Confidentiality and Duty of Care:

Here at Kim’s Reptile Retreat, Reptile Boarding, we are committed to safeguarding the personal information of our clients.

All data collected during the boarding process, including contact details, payment information, and any specific care instructions for your reptiles, will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
We will implement appropriate measures to ensure that this information is securely stored and accessed only by authorised personnel.

By signing this agreement, you acknowledge our responsibility to protect your valuable personal information and consent to our practices in handling it.
